State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharjee paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Thursday.
President of Monirampur upazila Awami League and Mayor Alhaj Kazi Mahmudul Hasan, Chairman of Tungipara Upazila Parishad Md Solaiman Bishwas, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Naqib Hasan Torofder, Municipal Mayor Sheikh Ahmed Hossain Mirza and others were also present at that time.
Later, he signed the visitor’s book at Bangabandhu Bhaban there. Earlier on the day, Swapan Bhattacharjee attended a seminar on ‘Responsibility of BAPARD to Implement My Village My Town Project’ at Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj. Bangabandhu Academy for Poverty Alleviation and Rural Development (BAPARD) arranged the seminar.
