Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet has canceled its seven-day summer vacation of this year.
This information is known from a notice issued on Monday (June 5) signed by the registrar (acting) of the university Md. Fazlur Rahman.
According to the notice, the summer vacation from Sunday (June 18) to Monday (June 26) mentioned in the university calendar has been cancelled. As a result, classes and offices will be open from June 18 to 22.
On the other hand, all classes and office activities of the university will be closed from Sunday (June 25) to Thursday (July 6) on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
However, due to weekly closure on July 7 and 8, classes and official activities will resume as usual from Sunday (July 9).
Acting Registrar of the university said that the summer vacation has been canceled due to the need of the office and other official work. Summer and holy Eid-ul-Azha holidays were together. Summer vacation has been excluded.
