Sujan Panchagarh vows to Champion good Gov, electoral integrity

With a renewed commitment to strengthening democracy, the Citizens for Good Governance (Sujan) has reconstituted its 27-member District Executive Committee in Panchagarh, vowing to intensify its campaign for transparency and accountability ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The reorganization and planning meeting was held on Saturday afternoon at the party's city center, resonating with the slogan, "Aware, organized and vocal people are the protectors of democracy."

The session, presided over by the re-elected District President, AKM Fazle Noor (Bachchu), saw Rajesh De, the Divisional Coordinator of Sujan for Rangpur, attending as the chief guest.

In a show of confidence, the central leadership of the previous committee was unanimously re-elected. AKM Fazle Noor will continue as the President, with Tabirul Islam Manik retaining his position as General Secretary and Rafiqul Islam Bhutto as the Organizing Secretary. The full 27-member committee was officially announced during the meeting.

A vibrant discussion meeting followed the committee announcement. Jointly moderated by Organizing Secretary Rafiqul Islam Bhutto and journalist Dezar Hossain Badsha, the session featured open deliberations from members and prominent local citizens.

Speakers, including Zahirul Islam of Desh Pathagaar, Harun-or-Rashid, and journalists MA Based and Snigdha Khandaker Niha, outlined an ambitious action plan for the committee.

Key initiatives announced include: Organizing a roundtable meeting with all parliamentary candidates for the upcoming election to demand the public disclosure of their asset details, Holding seminars and citizen dialogues to educate the public on the principles of good governance, Launching awareness campaigns to prevent corruption and ensure transparency in local government activities, Making the organization's grassroots activities more dynamic to better serve the community.

The meeting concluded with a firm resolve to actively engage citizens and institutions to uphold democratic values and ensure clean governance in the district.
