SUB Public Speaking Club holds workshop on public speaking

The SUB Public Speaking Club organized a workshop, The Art of Public Speaking, today at the university's conference room, aimed at developing students' public speaking skills and boosting their confidence in communication.

The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nawzia Yasmin, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her opening speech, she highlighted the importance of mastering public speaking for both personal and professional growth.

The workshop featured two dynamic sessions led by Sadman Sadik, author and educator, and Md. Abdul Quayyum, Head of Communications at UNDP Bangladesh. Both speakers provided practical techniques and insights into effective communication, keeping the audience engaged with interactive presentations and a lively Q&A session.

Md. Shamsul Islam, Dean of the School of Business and Social Sciences, attended the program alongside faculty members from various departments, offering their support and encouragement. Bayezid Khan, Lecturer in Journalism, Communication, and Media Studies and Convener of the SUB Public Speaking Club, efficiently hosted the event.

The workshop attracted over 150 students who participated enthusiastically in the engaging and disciplined learning environment. Attendees actively interacted with the speakers and expressed excitement about applying the strategies they learned.

Certificates were awarded to all participants at the end of the program, recognizing their commitment to improving their public speaking abilities. The event showcased the university's dedication to fostering well-rounded development among students, equipping them with vital skills for future success.
