A four-day education fair, 'Study in Malaysia,' begins in three cities in the country, initiated by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and Education Malaysia Global Service (EMGS).

Md Tazul Islam, Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, inaugurated the event at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka, highlighting Malaysia's inclusive environment for all religions and cultures, making it an attractive destination for Bangladeshi students.

Speaking at the inauguration, he emphasized the global opportunities available and encouraged students to strive for excellence. Local event organizer Arif Syed noted Malaysia's appeal for Bangladeshi students due to its diverse educational offerings.

The fair will take place at Banani Sheraton in Dhaka on April 26 and 27, The Peninsula in Chittagong on April 29, and Rose View Hotel in Sylhet on May 1 from 10 am to 6 pm. It offers students and parents the chance to explore Malaysian universities and institutes firsthand. Representatives from 11 Malaysian universities and a hospital group will provide information and facilitate applications for interested students. Bangladesh and Malaysia continue to strengthen their educational ties, with over 19,000 Bangladeshi students applying to study in Malaysia from 2019 to 2023. This surge in applications signals Malaysia's growing popularity as a destination for higher education among Bangladeshi students.

This education fair will be held at Banani Sheraton in Dhaka on April 26 and 27, The Peninsula in Chittagong on April 29 and Rose View Hotel in Sylhet on May 1 from 10 am to 6 pm.
