The third season of the country's biggest folk music reality show ‘Magic Bauliana’ is underway. The show is sponsored by Sun Foundation and supported by Square Toiletries Limited and is being arranged by Maasranga Television.
Since its inception, the Sun Foundation has been promoting folk music. In addition to creating appropriate archives for future generations, they are working the artistes to stand by them and for proper valuation, maintaining song rights and royalty.
More than 42 thousand contestants from across the country registered for Magic Bulliana in 2019. From there, the best 26 people have been selected for the studio round through auditions and selections. Chandana Majumdar, Baul Shafi Mondal and Dr. Nashid Kamal will judge them by listening to their songs.
The show will be aired on Maasranga TV every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm. The top three participants of this reality show will sing along with popular folk music artistes from across the country and abroad on the stage of Dhaka International Folk Fest organised by the Sun Foundation.
