Students show red card to drugs, rape in Feni

A meeting against drugs, rape, child marriage and sexual harassment was held on Sharishadi High School premises in Feni Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning. A voluntary organisation named ‘Lal Shabuj Unnayan Sangha’, which is run with the tiffin money, arranged the meeting. After the meeting, about 2,000 students of local schools and madrasas were sworn in by displaying red cards to drugs, rape and child marriage.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Feni Model Police Station Alamgir Hossain spoke as the chief guest on the occasion. OC (investigation) of the police station Sajedul Islam Palash conducted the oath taking ceremony while president of school managing committee Abul Hashem and founder and central president of Lal Sabuj Unnayan Sangha Kawasar Alam Sohel spoke as special guest.

Alamgir Hossain said drug is destroying the youth and society today. Everyone should stay away from drugs. Today women are participating everywhere. We should say no to child marriage and stay away from terrorism.
