A student named Kulsuma Akhter Sumaiya (6) was killed when a car ran over him in Zorarganj police station area of Mirsharai upazila. The accident took place on Wednesday in the afternoon at Mustannagar Katabil area of the Upazila.

According to locals, the incident took place while crossing the old Dhaka-Chittagong highway on the way home from school. Locals rescued him while injured and doctors on duty at Upazila Health Complex declared him dead.
In this regard, Sub Inspector of Zorarganj Police Station Abul Khair said that the vehicle that hit the student has been seized. The family took the body. He said that legal action will be taken after visiting the incident site.
