Student goes missing in sea in Cox’s Bazar

A tourist named Yusa Abdullah (16) went missing while taking a bath in the sea with his family in Cox's Bazar. He is a 2022 SSC candidate.

On Wednesday (July 20) around 11 am, he went down to bathe with friends at Inani Sea Pearl Point and went missing. They were guests of Hotel Sea Pearl along with their relatives. Cox's Bazar Tourist Police Additional Superintendent of Police Rezaul Karim confirmed this.

The student's father Colonel Shahidul Hasan is a military doctor. He is a student of Bangladesh International School. Basa Mohakhali DOHS said tourist police. Additional Superintendent of Police of Tourist Police Rezaul Karim said, 'They along with 4 cousins took a bath at the beach without telling their parents around 11 o'clock. 4 people bathed in the waves. 3 people managed to climb up but the boy drowned with the wave.' He also knows, Abdullah is a 2022 SSC candidate. The tourist police have started to rescue him. The fire service and coast guard have been informed. Tourist Police Inani Zone is continuing the rescue work with the help of locals. Mahbub Alam, supervisor of the beach workers, said, 'Our beach workers and lifeguard members went to the spot after receiving the news of the boy's disappearance. We are doing our best to rescue him.'
