“The existing organisations and its members wanted the election of Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union but their present demand is now converse. Many have said, there are not Rucsu election and senate sessions at RU. We are always ready to hold the Rucsu polls but they have not wanted it.”
Professor M Abdus Sobhan, vice chancellor of RU made the remarks as the chief guest while addressing in a reception function arranged by the university is Friends Association at Shaheed Sukhranjan Samadder Teacher-Student Cultural Centre (TSCC) on Saturday.
Around 15-20 organisations have been working on the campus actively now. After election, there will be elected only one leader who will face many problems to lead Rucsu. The current leadership is totally different from the past because now qualitative leadership is very need for carrying the activities of Rucsu, professor Sobhan also said.
