Students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have sought financial support from the well offs for their fellow student Tahsin Tabassum Ifty’s treatment.
Tahsin Tabassum Ifty, a third-year student of Anthropology department of SUST, has been suffering from Lymph Node Cancer.
Now she is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Quoting doctors, the students told the Bangladesh Post that about Tk 15 lakh is needed for Ifty’s treatment that is beyond her ability.
According to her physicians, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is part of the body's germ-fighting immune system
This type of cancer is more aggressive than other cancers.
Although Ifty’s family members have managed some taka for chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, it is impossible for them to afford another huge amount of money to continue her treatment.
