Googly director Abhimanyu Mukherjee has not one or two, but three films ready for release in the coming months. The director, who will start shooting with Srabanti in a new film, said two movies with the actor are already complete. “The first one is a comedy thriller called Hullor. The film also stars Soham, Om and Darshana, apart from Srabanti. In fact, several noted actors are part of the film, like Biswanath Basu, Subhasish Ganguly, Kanchan Mullick, Supriyo Dutta and others,” he said.
The second film that’s done is Teko, a social comedy, with Ritwick Chakraborty and Srabanti. The forthcoming movie will also be Srabanti’s first film after her Chandigarh wedding with Roshan Singh. About the third venture, the director said, “Another film, which is ready, is called Flyover. It has Koel Malluck in the lead. It is a thriller that has Gourav Chakrkabarty, Ravi Shaw, Kaushik and others. I had a lovely time shooting this film. I have always been iffy about working with stars, who I heard, come with a certain amount of baggage. I have already worked with Srabanti and Soham before and they kind of changed my notion about stars. And with Koel too, it was a great working experience. Not only is she a star, she happens to be the wife of the film’s producer. Despite all that, she came without any starry air. She is extremely down to earth and amiable.” The release dates, however, have not been finalised. “There are a few big Bengali releases on Eid, apart from a Salman Khan film. We’ll soon decide on the dates,” said Abhimanyu.
