A special awareness session titled “Redefining Fitness for a Healthier Body and Mind” was held at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) to promote health consciousness among students.
The program was organized last Saturday at the CVASU auditorium by the Rotaract Club of CVASU in coordination with the university’s Student Welfare Office.
Vice-Chancellor of CVASU, Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman, attended the event as the chief guest. The session was presided over by Director of Student Welfare, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam.
Special guests included Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Nurul Haque, Rotarian Engineer Md. Matiur Rahman, Rotarian Samina Islam, and Rotarian Abdullah Al Milon.
The welcome speech was delivered by Rotaractor Swapnil Mahmud, president of the Rotaract Club of CVASU. The event was jointly hosted by Rotaractor Israt Jahan and Rotaractor Tabassum Tasnova Khanom.
The keynote speaker of the session was Abu Sufian Taj, Fitness Advisor of the Special Security Force (SSF). In his speech, he highlighted the importance of physical fitness, healthy eating habits, mental well-being, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in daily life.
His engaging and practical presentation created significant interest among the students. The event also featured an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing participants to directly engage with the speaker.
At the end of the program, honorary crests were presented to the guests and speakers, while certificates were distributed among participating students.
