SP striving for making Narsingdi a crime-free dist

After assuming charge, Police Super (SP), Narsingdi has taken several effective measures to control the law and order situation in the district. Police Super, himself is monitoring the activities of police officers working in each police station of the district to stop bribery and corruption.

To reduce the level of crime and solve social problems, he regularly listens to the complaints of common people in his office. Action is being taken subject to investigation if a complaint is received against a police member. 

Not only that, the image of Narsingdi District Police has changed within seven months of joining. Various officials of the district police, president of the community policing forum, president of the district lawyers' association, prominent CIPs, civil society members and people of various professions spoke to our representative about how he is implementing those activities.

Different areas of district, various types of drugs are recovered every day. Drug dealers and drug addicts are being arrested in this connection. He himself is monitoring the activities of the police officers working in each police station in the district to prevent bribery and corruption, including the supervision of public important matters with the officers in charge (OC) of seven police stations among six upazilas.

Extortion collected from various vehicles in the district roads and highways has been stopped. On the other hand, the district traffic police is conducting extensive activities to prevent road accidents under his instructions. CCTV cameras have been installed at important places in the district to identify the real criminals for the safety of the common people. 

Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan Liton, the prominent CIP of Narsingdi district said after joining the Superintendent of Police, he arranged a meeting with our businessmen about the law and order situation. Narsingdi District Lawyers Association President Advocate Kazi Nazmul Islam said that after the joining of the Superintendent of Police, the deadly battle in river bed area has stopped.

President of District Community Policing Forum and Principal of Narsingdi Independent College. Moshiur Rahman Mridha said that the current law and order situation has improved considerably compared to any time in the past. People of Narsingdi are living safely and comfortably. Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman (PPM) said that since joining, I have received the full cooperation of people from all walks of life, from the honorable minister to parliament members, to control the law and order situation.

Earlier, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman (PPM) served as Superintendent of Police of Nilphamari District for one year. He attended the 27th BCS and joined the Bangladesh Police in 2008.
