The meeting of the 28th Academic Council of Southern University Bangladesh was recently held in the conference room at the permanent campus in Bayezid Arefin Nagar.
The meeting approved the degrees of undergraduate (honors) and postgraduate finalists, academic performance reports, approval of curriculum framework for undergraduate (honors) programs, approval of academic ordinances of various departments of arts, sociology and law, business administration and science and engineering faculties, Approval, Certificate Issue Process, IQAC Progress Report, Introduction to Self-Body Education on Permanent Campus, Approval of Final Examination of Various Departments on Campus, Approval of Spring Semester-2022 Admission Schedule, 2022 Academic Calendar and Decisions of 11th Academic Committee of Law Department.
The proposals adopted by the 27th Academic Council were discussed and passed. The International Conference on Civil Engineering to be held in January and Corona Epidemic also discussed various academic issues including the operation of labs in the Civil Engineering Department and the improvement of education.
SU Vice-Chancellor Professor Engineer Mozammel Haque presided over the function. The meeting was attended by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. M Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Treasurer Prof. Sarwar Jahan, Member of Southern Academic Council, University of Chittagong teacher Prof. Dr. Saleh Zahur, Prof. Dr. Shawkatul Meher, Prof. Dr. Amir Mohammad Nasrullah, Registrar, Dean of various faculties, , Department heads and others.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Engineer Mozammel Haque announced the end of the meeting, expressing the hope that Southern University would move forward through quality and up-to-date education through the joint efforts of all.
