One of Chattogram’s culture practices school Fame School of Dance, Drama and Music is coming to the stage on February 13, 14 and 15, with a three-day event organised to honour the Greek playwright Sophocles’ time-honored creation ‘Oedipus’ and renowned children’s literature writer Sukumar Ray’s ‘HaJaBaRaLa’.
Fame’s theatre department and children theatre department will stage the plays five times over the three days at the Theater Institute Auditorium of Chattogram.
Under the planning and direction of Asim Das and translated by Syed Ali Ahsan, Sophocles’ timeless tragedy ‘Oedipus’ will be shown next February 13; Thursday 7pm and February 14. Two more staging of the play will be on February 15 at 5pm and 7pm. Sukumar Roy’s ‘HaJaBaRaLa' is going to be staged on Saturday. Arun Chowdhury adapted the play from the story and the editing and direction was given by Mubidur Rahman Sujat which will be staged at 5pm and 7pm.
