Son kills father at Banshkhali

A businessman named Badshah Sawdagar (56) was hacked to death by his son while he was sleeping in Banshkhali of Chattogram.

The incident took place in the East Puichhari area of Puichhari Union of the upazila late on Thursday night.

After receiving information on Friday morning, the police visited the spot and recovered the dead body and sent it to the Chattogram Medical College (CMC) hospital morgue for post-mortem and arrested the killer's son, Enamul Haque (21) and brought him to the police station.

 According to local sources, Badshah Sawdagar, son of deceased Matiur Rahman of East Puichhari 5 no ward area of Puichhari Union of Upazila, was doing various business including decoration in the east side of the local Prem Bazaar.  He has 3 sons and 4 daughters.  Among the children, Enamul Haque, the youngest son, returned home every night, so King Saudagar scolded that boy.  As a result, the boy became angry with Badshah Sawdagar.  

Like every day, on Thursday night, after closing the shop, Badshah Sawdagar comes home.  He slept in his room after having dinner.  His wife and children sleep in separate rooms.  On this occasion Enamul Haque entered his father's room around 3 o'clock on Thursday night and brutally hacked his father Badshah Sawdagar while he was sleeping.  

At that time, the killer Enamul Haque left the mobile phones of his brother-in-law and some other family members in his father's room to change the course of the murder.  On Friday morning, Amir Hossain, the son of the deceased Badshah Sawdagar, went to his father's room to look for his mobile phone and saw his father Badshah Sawdagar's bloody frozen body lying on the bed.  Later they informed the police station.

Sudhanshu Shekhar Halder, OC (Investigation) of Banshkhali police station said, "Enamul Haque, the son of the murderer, has been arrested after visiting the scene of the incident.  The body of the deceased was recovered and sent to CMC Hospital morgue for autopsy.  The case is under process in this incident.
