Students of Shah Shah Mokhdum Medical College & Hospital, Rajshah, are seeking migration to alternative institutions amidst allegations of fraud by college authorities.

During a press conference at the Rajshahi Journalist Union office on Saturday, March 23, 42 students expressed their concerns. Mehdi Hasan Munna, a student from the eighth batch, revealed that their educational future is in jeopardy due to alleged deceit by the college.

According to Munna, students were admitted based on advertisements claiming the college's approval by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and affiliation with Rajshahi Medical University. However, after two years, they discovered the college lacked the necessary approvals, leaving them shocked and uncertain.

Munna disclosed that the college allegedly extracted significant sums from each student through misleading ads and false promises, ranging from 12 to 18 lakhs.

Despite filing cases and complaints, the students have received no resolution, prompting their demand for urgent migration to secure their academic future.

The college's managing director, Moniruzzaman, denied the allegations, citing external factors for the college's unregistered status. He clarified that while the college cannot facilitate migration, students are free to seek it independently, subject to Health Department approval.

The students' plea for migration underscores their urgent need to escape the fallout of the

alleged fraud, emphasizing the necessity for swift resolution and justice.
