A total of 29,288 voters registered in 2019 in Jashore Municipality and Jashore Sadar Upazila will get Smart National Identity Card (NID), said election office sources.
The distribution of smart NID card began on January 2 and it will continue till January 9. The distribution of NID card at the union level of Jashore Sadar Upazila will begin on January 10 and will continue till February 3.
All the voters who are not able to collect the identity card within the stipulated time will be able to collect the smart card (NID) from the Sadar Upazila Election Office from
March 2.
Jashore Sadar Upazila Election Office sources said, out of 5 lakh 10 thousand 516 people registered as voters till 2015, 4 lakh 29 thousand 556 people have received Smart National Identity Card (NID). The rest voters are coming to the office and taking smart card (NID), said Sadar Upazila Election Officer Abdur Rashid.
He also said that 1,157 new smart cards of Haibatpur union of Sadar Upazila will be distributed on January 10, while 775 new smart cards of Labutla Union on January 11, a total of 970 new smart cards of Ichali Union on January 12 and 1,254 new smart cards in ward no 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Nowapara union on January 13.
A total of 1,336 new smart cards in ward no 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the union will also be distributed on January 14, while 624 new smart cards in Upashahar union on January 16, one thousand 339 new smart cards of Kashipur union on January 17, one thousand 59 new smart cards in ward no 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Churamankathi union on January 18 and 735 new smart cards in ward no 6,7,8 and 9 in the union will be distributed on January 19.
Nine hundred twenty seven new smart cards in ward no 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Deyara union will be distributed on January 20 and 770 new smart cards in wards 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the union will be distributed on January 21, while 913 news smart cards for ward no 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Arabpur union on January 23 and 962 new smart cards of wards 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the union on January 24.
On the other hand, 1,102 new smart cards of wards 1,2,3, 4, 5 and 6 of Chanchra union will be distributed on January 25, while 952 new smart cards in ward no 7, 8 and 9 of the union on January 26, at total of 1,245 new smart cards of ward no 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Ramnagar union on January 27 and 882 new smart cards of ward no 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the union will be distributed on January 28. A total of 1,265 new smart cards of word no 1,2,3, 4 and 5 of Fatepur union will distributed on January 30, and 862 new smart cards in ward no 6, 7, 8, and 9 of the union will distributed on January 31.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,276 new smart cards of Kachua Union will distributed on February 1, while 1,450 new smart cards of Narendrapur Union on February 2 and 1,325 new smart cards of Basundia Union on February 3. According to election office sources, every person has to bring a registration card to collect smart national identity card or smart card (NID).
