Bagharpara Police have arrested the accused rapist Riaz Hossain and his two accomplices in connection with the rape of a sixth-grade student in Bagharpara upazila of Jashore on Tuesday.
They were arrested from different areas within hours after the case was filed on Monday night.
Bagharpara Police Station OC Firoz Uddin said, “Riaz Hossain, 28, son of Islam Sardar of Jamalpur village in Basuari union of Bagharpara upazila, was arrested from his
own village.”
In his confession, two accomplices were arrested Shakil Ahmed, 18, son of Abu Hossain of Habula village in Bagharpara upazila from his area and Milon Hossain, 27, son of Shahidul Islam of Baliadanga village in Jashore Sadar, from Jhumjhumpur BSIC area.
Riaz kept his name secret and used a fake name to make friendship with the victim schoolgirl. There were some difficulties to arrest the accused as he used a fake name. The accused were sent to the court after the legal process on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier on Monday night, the schoolgirl's mother filed a case with the Bagharpara police station.
