Local said the explosion happened in early Wednesday when most of the people of that house were asleep. Later, locals come forward after hearing the sound and take all the injured to the hospital for treatment.

Md. Abdul Alim, Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service (Zone-4) told The Bangladesh Post, “Basically, the explosion occurred from accumulated ‘Biogas’ at the toilet, and we suspect the explosion might happen when the accumulated gas comes in touch with fire when a woman trying to set fire on the stove in the early morning, adding that, but it was not any gas cylinder or gas line explosion.

He further advised to avoid set fire near any toilet or do not smoke there as biogas is very dangerous if it’s accumulated, and people should set up ventilation system in their toilet to avoid such kind of incident.
