The holy month of Ramadan is going on. And after a few days, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims is Eid-ul-Fitr. The tailors of Sirajganj are busy making new clothes ahead of Eid. The orders have started to be taken even before the fast. Tailors are getting busier day by day.

Eid means happiness, Eid means joy and new clothes increase this joy several times. Therefore, as the time of Eid approaches, besides the market, the traffic of people increases at the doors of tailorsPeople are flocking to tailors to make clothes according to their heart in keeping with modernity.

With Eid ahead, the tailor shops are buzzing with the sound of sewing machines. Many people are flocking there to make richly designed clothes. There is no time for the city's tailors to be suffocating now. Of course, the busyness has started even before the fast.

On the ground (March 31), tailors have been seen roaming around the city's roads since morning, artisans are getting a lot of orders for sewing work in every small and big shop. Each craftsman is making 6 to 8 ordered garments per day depending on the type.

Eid is ahead, so there is no opportunity to stop the only source of livelihood even for a moment. No one is taking new orders and no one is taking them. As customers are happy to get new clothes according to demand, customers are rushing to their favorite tailors to make their desired clothes.

When we talked to several tailor owners in the city, they said that customers are flocking to tailor shops to buy ready-made three-piece and thin clothes for their favorite clothes. The tailors are working day and night to make the clothes that the customers like. Some tailors have brought seasonal artisans from different areas to handle the workload. The heart of the city S. When we talked to the artisans working in the shop about their wages, they said, we were off work for seven days before fasting. Our remuneration is for Baran. Earlier, if I made a pant, shirt and Punjabi, I would get 165 rupees. The shop owner has increased the price by 10 rupees due to the long seven day shutdownWe are working very happily. Currently we are happy with our salary.

The technicians are working day and night to deliver the orders that were taken. When asked about the wages of new pants and shirts, Jewel Rana said that the wages of pants are 450 rupees, the wages of shirts are 350 rupees and the wages of Punjabis are 420 rupees. On the other hand, when talking to the owner of Kona Tailors located in Khalifa Patti in the city, he said that the wages of making girls' clothes are being charged a little more than last time. . Especially the wages of silk, georgette, katan, linen, Banarasi fabrics are slightly higher. The wages for making a set of three-pieces are from 300 to 500 taka. These wages are different depending on the tailors of different markets in the city.

Shaheen Mia, the owner buyer of Razzaq Dental located on Mujib Road in the city, who came to buy clothes in the market, said, "After a few days, our biggest religious festival is the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. I came to the market to buy new clothes for men, boys and girls, and other members of the familyBut the price of clothes we are struggling to afford. It is a problem for us who are low income people. 

The price of new clothes in this Eid bazaar is much higher than last Eid bazaar, which is beyond our purchasing power. If the price of clothes increased in the market, our income did not increase.

While talking to Sirajganj Superintendent of Police Arifur Rahman Mondal about security in the city ahead of Eid, he said that shopping pressure has increased in the city's shopping malls, markets and markets around EidAt this time, 100 additional policemen have been deployed in front of the city's important market shopping mall road to ensure that the law and order situation does not deteriorate due to excessive crowding and also the traffic police are working responsibly in the city.
