Shuvoo, Oishee’s 'Noor' to have theatrical release

Raihan Rafi directed last film titled 'Poran' released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha is still going house full in cinema halls. It is learnt that the director’s much-awaited film titled 'Noor' starring National award winner superstar Arifin Shuvoo and Miss World Bangladesh winner Jannatul Ferdous Oishee to have a theatrical release as well.

Last month the film was submitted to the Censor Board but did not get clearance. The board blocked the film due to some technical glitches and one of the scenes from the film is asked to be corrected and resubmitted with new editing and sound design to the board. Confirming the matter director Raihan Rafi said that the Censor Board did ask for some corrections in the film in but officially we did not receive any papers yet. However, from Sunday Aug 7 there were rumours that the OTT platform Binge App has bought all the rights of the film ‘Noor’ for half a crore and it have been sold by the production company Shapla Media.

Regarding the context Apurba Roy, the executive producer of the production company Shapla Media said, 'The news that has been reported is nothing but a rumour. We have not sold the rights to anyone. The film will be released only by us and in theatres.’

Shuvoo and Oishee has paired up for the second time. Earlier the duo had acted together in the film titled 'Mission Extreme' directed by Sunny Sanwar and Faisal Ahmed, which was commercially a huge success.

Apart from acting in the lead role Shuvoo is also serving as the executive producer of the film.
