State Minister of Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hasan was fascinated by Dhallywood superstar Arifin Shuvoo so much and his acting that he addresses him as the “Real Hero” and salutes him in a speech during a function 'Online Real Heroes Award-2021’.
Referring to the recent film 'Bangabandhu', the state minister said, "This hero is not a hero but a real hero. I salute him for having the rare privilege of playing the role of a great man like 'Bangabandhu'.
Arifin Shuvoo was sitting on the stage in white clothes at that moment and expresses his gratitude to the state minister.
In his speech, the minister mentioned Bangabandhu as the real hero of the nation. He said, 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has broken the chain of subjugation and given independent sovereign Bangladesh to the Bengali nation. He has given self-dignity and identity to the nation. He is the real hero of the nation.’
The event was held on the evening of September 1 at La Meridian Hotel in the capital. Honorary crests were given to 50 people for their contribution through various means. Arifin Shuvoo and Nusrat Faria were awarded from the film.
‘Bangabandhu’ is an upcoming Indian-Bangladeshi Bengali-language biographical film directed by Shyam Benegal. It stars Arifin Shuvoo as Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the first President of Bangladesh popularly known as Bangabandhu who lead his country to independence.
