The government has appointed a new secretary to the Shipping Ministry. Additional Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department Dr. Nurunnahar Chowdhury has been promoted to the Secretary of the Shipping Ministry. He is an officer of the 17th batch of BCS administration cadre.
He joined the Ministry of Shipping as Secretary on Monday.
Earlier, he served as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, MDS of Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy, Director of the National Local Government Institute, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and other positions in various departments/directorates. He has participated in various professional and skill development trainings in the country and abroad.
A notification was issued from the Higher Recruitment-1 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration, posting Dr. Nurunnahar Chowdhury as Secretary to the Ministry of Shipping on Sunday.
During the exchange of views with the officials of the ministry, he called upon all concerned to work with utmost honesty, dedication and professionalism, motivated by patriotism.
