‘Shikhandi Kotha’ was staged at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Saturday. Theatre troupe Mohakal Natya Sampraday’s this production was much acclaimed by the audience.
Shikhandi Kotha, written by Anan Zaman, has been directed by Rashid Harun.
The play depicts the woes and worries of the transgender community. Poly Biswas, Ripan Roni, Samrat, Surela Nazim, Kaniz Fatima Lisa, Syed Ferdous Ekram, Shibli Sarker, Quamruzzaman Shobuj, Bahar Sarker, Anan Zaman, Faruk Ahmed Sentu, Bithun Ahmed, Samiul Jibon and others acted in the play.
Tanvir Hasan and Shafiqul Islam jointly designed set while Rafiqul Haque Himel designed lighting for the play.
