The Sheikh Russell Beach Football Tournament 2022 was held on the beach of Cox's Bazar. In the boys division, Sylhet defeated Khulna in 3-1 goal. Mymensingh Division won the girls' division by defeating Barisal Division 3-2 in Tribeca. Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Mezbah Uddin was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the three-day beach football organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Directorate of Sports.
Deputy Commissioner Md Mamunur Rashid presided over the closing ceremony of the beach football held at Seagull Point on the beach at 12 noon on Tuesday. Special guests at the award ceremony were Rekha Rani Balo, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports, KM Ali Reza, Director, Sports Directorate, Mizanur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police, Cox's Bazar Sadar Circle, Milton Roy, Cox's Bazar Sadar Upazila Executive Officer, Helal Uddin Kabir Cox's Bazar District Sports Association Football Secretary Harunur Rashid, District Sports Officer Moinuddin Milki and others.
Afterwards the guests distributed prizes among the participating players carrying the trophy to the champion runner-up team.
