Renowned Dhakai cinema actress Mishty Jannat has decided to make a triumphant return to the film industry with the upcoming movie "Russel er Kanna". Despite a hiatus from the screen, Jannat's enthusiasm for the project was evident during the official signing ceremony on February 1.

In an unusual move, Jannat has opted not to accept any remuneration for her role in the film, showcasing a unique dedication to her craft. The film, produced by director Salman Haider, aims to delve into the life of Sheikh Russell, the youngest member of Bangabandhu's family.

The movie, currently bearing two titles, "Russel er Kanna" and "Ami Mayer Kache Jabo" is slated to commence shooting on August 22. The production team is meticulously preparing for the project, with a keen focus on selecting actors based on both physical resemblance and acting prowess. "I was occupied with my family work for an extended period, which made it challenging to dedicate time to films. I am excited to make a comeback with various projects, one of them being the movie 'Russel er Kanna,' stated Misty Jannat during the signing event.

In addition to Jannat's return, Apu Biswas has joined the cast, set to portray the role of PM Sheikh Hasina. The ensemble cast includes Aruna Biswas, Ziaul Roshan, and Aman Reza, promising a comprehensive portrayal of Bangabandhu's family.

As the production gears up for the shooting phase on August 22, all eyes are on "Russel er Kanna," anticipating an engaging cinematic journey that explores the compelling story of Sheikh Russell. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting project.
