Sheikh Kamal inter school and madrassa district level athletics competition was held at Bir Sheshtha Sepoy Hamidur Rahman Stadium in Jhenaidah on Monday. Jhenaidah district administration organized the competition.
Jhenaidah 1 seat lawmaker, also president of Bangladesh Awami League Jhenaidah district committee Abdul Hyee inaugurated the even at chief guest releasing balloons in the sky. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manira Begum, Awami League district unit general secretary Saidul Karim Mintu, local government deputy director Yearul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (ADC, general) Rathindra Nath Roy, ADC (revenue) Razibul Islam Khan, Jhenaidah Sdar upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Sadiya Jarin and assistant commissioner (land) Sharmin Akter Sumi among others spoke. All the participants took oath before inaugural ceremony. The organizers said 600 students of six upazilas had participated in 33 events.
The guests had distributed prizes among the winners in the afternoon during the concluding hours.
