Bangladesh may not be the worst affected nation as the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has timely devised some bold and massive initiatives to protect countrymen from the grip of deadly coronavirus which has created a potential threat to the very existence of mankind.

Had foreign returnees and general people followed government's directives, we would have been able to prevent  the the spread  of the outbreak more efficiently. However, the optimistic side of Bangladesh    is that the country’s leader never compromises with the welfare of her people and here people have built enough resilience  to  natural disasters over a long period of time.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has relentlessly been working for the welfare of    the nation.  She has already undertaken a number of massive development programme to make Bangladesh a developed nation by 2041. When the country’s leader is always there to look after general  people, no problem would be difficult for the nation  to overcome.

People will get over this calamity very soon as the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the most competent daughter father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is totally engaged in helping the people of the country.

When it comes to a national crisis, we must act  unitedly

and show respect to the people who are trying their

best to salvage the nation from the crisis

It is known to us all that god helps those who help themselves and it goes without saying that if leader make a mistake the nation suffers. The people of Bangladesh is lucky enough to have a far sighted leader like Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who has been working with a set mission and a particular vision to bring about the wellbeing of her people.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has come forward with a 31-point immediate rescue programme and a three-year long comprehensive plan to protect her people from the deadly coronavirus. The programme is devised to prevent starvation and face the challenge of resurrecting the national economy.

No matter if the pandemic prevails for a long time, though it would not last more than three years, she has prepared her administration  to face that calamity for more than three year. Just at the beginning of the lockdown, Sheikh Hasina announced Tk.5000 crore initial package to provide salary to the industry workers to keep the wheel of country’s export grinding on.

Considering the overall situation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came forward with her massive stimulus packages of Taka 72,750 crore (USD 8,573 million) to counter the adverse impacts of corona virus on the country’s economy.

Through video-conference, Sheikh Hasina is taking information from the people of the grass root level, and continuously briefing local administration officials to take immediate action to rescue the ill fated people of the country.

It is known to us all that Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Here, the majority of the population does not have any knowledge about proper hygiene and which is why the risk of coronavirus was high.  But the comprehensive preventive measures undertaken by the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has lowered the intensity of the outbreak.

Though the number of coronavirus patience is increasing fast as people across the country paid  no heed to the government's guidelines, the situation is still quite controllable. Regarding the coronavirus situation in Bangladesh, WHO has also expressed a positive note on the figure of the affected persons.

We, the Bengalese, as a nation are very sensitive in characteristic.  Of course we will have different opinion, but when it comes to a national crisis, we must act unitedly and show  respect  to the people who are trying their best to salvage the nation from the difficulties.  We must criticize the wrong doing but we will not take that criticism as an antagonistic note as there are some people who always try to find others' faults.

When the father rides on the back of a donkey and has his son walks beside him, people criticize him as to how cruel the father is making his son wallk while he rides is comfort. Then again, when the father puts his son on the back of the donkey and walks beside, people slander the son making remarks as to how disrespectful the son is? In such a situation it is very difficult to run the government.

Country’s opposition parties can’t deny and ignore their role in this crisis time. In order to make democracy a real success, the oppositions have a crucial role to play. Similarly government alone can’t make democracy a success. Both the government and the oppositions have to work together showing due respect to each other for giving democracy an institutional shape.

And when a nation faces a natural calamity, all the people irrespective of cast and creed, forgetting the party affiliations, have to come forward with rock-solid unity. When a nation is united under one umbrella, there will be no difficulty in achieving a sustainable success.
