Nurul Hasan Sohan who led Rangpur Riders (RR) to the playoffs in the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) believes his side will be further motivated by the presence of Shakib Al Hasan.
Having said this he also made it clear that he would love to play under Shakib's captaincy, if the management wants, in upcoming BPL, slated to start on January 19.
“It's no wonder that a world class all-rounder would motivate any team to a great extent. His batting and bowling will be key for any team. Rangpur Riders players will also be inspired by his presence,” said Sohan.
Rangpur Riders have all weapons to be champions in BPL in the last edition but still they failed to move to the final. It is believed Sohan's captaincy and batting changes in some crucial games sank the team in big time.
There is strong possibility that Shakib Al Hasan will take over the captaincy in this edition as Riders are in quest of a BPL trophy.
“I have no reservation to play under Shakib Al Hasan if the management appoints the No. 1 all-rounder as the skipper. I would rather love to play under his captaincy," he added.
“Let's see what happened. The management is yet to take any decision. As a player I always try to give my best and will try to do it always,” said the skipper.
