Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan’s new film 'Dorod' is set to release today, November 15, in 100 theatres across Bangladesh, marking one of the largest non-festival releases in recent times. Following the massive success of his recent films 'Priyotoma' and 'Toofan,' audiences are eagerly awaiting to see Shakib’s performance in 'Dorod.'

Directed by Anonno Mamun, 'Dorod' is a romantic thriller featuring Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan as Shakib’s co-star, marking an exciting cross-industry collaboration. The film’s trailer and songs, which were released ahead of the premiere, have already garnered a lot of attention online, creating a buzz among Dhallywood fans.

The presale for tickets began on Wednesday, allowing fans to secure their seats early at multiplexes and select cinema halls. Star Cineplex, one of the country’s leading multiplex chains, announced that it will feature 'Dorod' in 22 screenings daily across all its branches starting Friday. Tickets are also available at Lion Cinemas in Keraniganj, CineScope in Narayanganj, as well as major cinemas outside Dhaka, including Madhuban Cinema in Bogura and Sugandha Cinema in Chattogram.

Director Anonno Mamun expressed confidence in the film’s wide release and the high expectations around it. “The film is releasing in 100 theatres even though it’s not an Eid release,” he said, adding that 80 theatres have already confirmed screenings with the rest expected to be finalised soon. Mamun believes the film’s thrilling storyline and powerful performances will offer a positive viewing experience for all.

In addition to its domestic release, 'Dorod' will make its international debut, premiering in 22 countries worldwide, which is a significant accomplishment for Bangladeshi cinema. This global release will allow Shakib Khan’s fans abroad to enjoy his latest film alongside audiences in Bangladesh, making 'Dorod' a highly anticipated film both locally and internationally.
