Sexagenarian killed while stopping fighting sons

A 65 year old Abdul Mannan went to refrain his two sons from a clash following a piece of land. But he succumbs to his injuries on the spot when a bamboo stick from any of his sons hit him on Thursday noon. The deceased was identified as Abdul Mannan, son of late Alfaz Hossain. The incident took place at village Sejia of bordering Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah.

Moheshpur police station officer in charge Selim Mia said there was a long time enmity between Mafizul Islam and Sadequl Islam, both sons of Abdul Mannan following a piece of land. The duo was locked in clash following the piece of land in the noon of Thursday. When the enmity got tougher, Abdul Mannan went to refrain them to keep quite. But a bamboo stick from any of his sons’ hat hit him. He plundered on the ground and succumbs to his injuries there. 

Police officer in charge said they sent the body to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital morgue for a post mortem examination. They could not arrest anyone of the two sons as both went hiding immediate after the killing incident. 

Police could not be sanguine by which son their farther was attacked and killed. They were preparing to file case, officer in charge said.
