On May 26, 2025, K-pop sensation SEVENTEEN commemorated their 10th anniversary with the release of their fifth studio album, Happy Burstday. This milestone project features 16 tracks, including the lead single "Thunder," and showcases solo songs from all 13 members, even those currently serving in the military.

The album's launch was marked by a grand performance on Seoul's Jamsu Bridge, drawing approximately 60,000 fans. This event concluded a three-day "B-Day Party" celebration, highlighting the group's decade-long journey and their evolution in the K-pop industry.

However, the celebrations were tinged with a sense of longing, as members Jeonghan and Wonwoo were absent from the live performances due to their mandatory military service. Jeonghan began his service on September 26, 2024, while Wonwoo enlisted on April 3, 2025. Both members had prepared in advance, contributing to the album's recordings before their enlistment, ensuring their presence was felt despite their physical absence.

Fans, known as CARATs, expressed their emotions on social media, missing Jeonghan's distinctive vocals and presence in the "Thunder" music video. The video, characterized by its vibrant dance-pop energy, symbolizes the group's "rebirth" and new chapter.

Prior to his enlistment, Jeonghan shared heartfelt messages with fans, assuring them of his well-being and expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. Similarly, Wonwoo penned a touching letter, encouraging fans to stay healthy and look forward to their reunion.

Happy Burstday not only celebrates SEVENTEEN's decade-long achievements but also signifies their resilience and commitment to their artistry, even amidst personal obligations. The album's release during this transitional period underscores the group's dedication to their fans and their craft.

As SEVENTEEN continues their journey, fans eagerly anticipate the return of Jeonghan and Wonwoo, looking forward to future performances where all 13 members can reunite on stage.

Happy Burstday is now available on major streaming platforms, offering fans a blend of collective and individual artistry that defines SEVENTEEN's unique place in the K-pop landscape.
