Seven special trains to run on Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route for Durga Puja

The Bangladesh Railway authorities made a decision to operate seven special trains on Dhaka-Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar route during the Durgra Puja to facilitate the passengers.

These special trains will operate from October 10 to October 13.

Station Master of Cox’s Bazar Iconic Rail Station, Md Golam Rabbani, confirmed the matter. Along with the regular two pairs of trains, this special train service will also be launched, said the Station Master.

Md Golam Rabbani said the first Cox’s Bazar bound special train will start its journey from Kamlapur Rail Station at 11:00pm on October 10 and will reach Cox’s Bazar at 7:30am on next morning. Moreover, the special trains will depart from Cox’s Bazar at 1:40pm and reach Kamlapur Rail Station at 10:00pm from October 11 to October 13. 

The Cox’s Bazar bound trains leaving from Dhaka will have 518 seats and the Dhaka bound trains leaving Cox’s Bazar will have 634 seats. This special train service for the tourists will make the visit to Cox's Bazar during the Durga Puja holidays safer and more comfortable, said the Station Master.
