Seminar on sustainable breeding held

A daylong seminar on ‘Genomics and high-throughput phenotyping for sustainable breeding progress in cereal crops’ was held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) on Tuesday.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. Md. Giash uddin Miah was present as the chief guest, while Treasurer Prof. Tofayel Ahamed was present as special guest. Prof Dr. Jens Leon of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology department of University of Bonn in Germany, delivered research papers, Dr. Agim Ballvora, Senior Scientist of the department also presented research papers on ‘breeding secures sustainable wheat productivity’ at the seminar as speaker.

Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Director (Outreach Center) presided over the seminar. Teachers, students were present in the seminar.
