A seminar titled "Kobitar Kal o Kalantor" was held at Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Monday. JU Bangla department organised the seminar at the seminar room of this department.
Chairman of the Bangla Department Prof Dr Nahid Haque presided over the programme, where director-general (DG) of Bangla Academy Habibullah Sirajee attended as the chief guest.
In his speech, Habibullah Sirajee discussed on the history and future of bengali poetry. He said, "From 21st February of 1952, Bengali literature started a new journey. 60th decade witnessed the epoch-making changes of bengali literature." After the speech of Habibullah Sirajee there was a section of question and answer.
Prof. Dr. Md. Khorshed Alam was the convener of the seminar. Teachers and students of different departments attended this seminar.
