The upazila administration of Raiganj has issued section 144 as Awami League and BNP have called a rally at the same place in Raiganj of Sirajganj.
The upazila administration issued section 144 in Dhangara municipal area, Chandaikona and Pangasi union of the upazila from Thursday
(August 25) morning. Earlier, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Tripti Kona Mandal
issued the order on Wednesday (August 24) night.
All kinds of public gatherings, rallies, processions, processions have been banned in these areas until further orders.
Raiganj Upazila Executive Officer Tripti Kona Mandal confirmed this information and said that different political parties called for a protest rally at the same time in three places. On Wednesday (August 24) Raiganj Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam, section 144 order was issued due to fear of disruption of law and order.
