To enhance the beauty of the town, trees have been planted in the divider of four-lane road of Thakurgaon district town. The District Sechchhasebok League planted 200 fruit, forest, medicinal and other tree saplings in the Thakurgaon Judge Court premises and the road divider of the city’s 4 lane road at around 12 noon on Friday.
The tree planting program was inaugurated by Thakurgaon District Sechchhasebok League President Nazmul Huda Shah Apollo.
In the next 3 months, Thakurgaon municipality, 21 unions of Sadar upazila and 4 more upazilas of the district will plant 6,000 saplings of different species including fruit, forest and medicine.
Nazmul Huda Shah Apollo, president of the district Secha Sebok league, said the tree planting program has been undertaken on the instructions of the prime minister.
