The prices of all kinds of vegetables in the market are increasing at a rapid pace due to cyclone Sitrang. Winter vegetables start arriving in the market at this time of monsoon.  For this reason, the price of all kinds of curries along with these immature vegetables including cabbage, cauliflower, beans is a little high.  Recently the cyclone 'Sitrang' that swept over the country caused severe damage to the vegetable market.  Common people are angry about the increase in the price of goods.  However, the rice market is on the decline.  Traders said that due to the arrival of Aman paddy season, rice mills and big traders are releasing stocked rice.  Vegetables are being sold at high prices in Chittagong markets.  The prices of all types of vegetables in the market have increased by 20-30 taka per kg.
