The teachers and officials of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) have protested the vandalism of sculpture of Father of the Natiopn Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and demanded punishment of the culprits.
They made the demand at a human chain that was formed on the campus on Monday. After the human chain, a short discussion was held in front of the administrative building of the university which was conducted by Afsana Moushumi, Director of student counseling and guidance office of the university.
During this time, NSTU VC Prof Dr Didar ul Alam was present. Treasurer Prof Dr. Mohammed Faruque Uddin, Registrar Prof Dr Abul Hossain, NSTU Teachers Association's President Prof Dr.Newaz Mohammed Bahadur, NSTU Officers Association's President Shakhawat Hossain and teachers of different departments and officials were present. During the discussion, NSTU VC Prof Dr Didar ul Alam told about the contribution and sacrifice of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and also demanded punishment of the culprits involved in the vandalism of Bangabandhu's sculpture in Kusthia.
