Police recovered the hanging body of a schoolgirl from a village under Saturia upazila in Manikganj on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Priti Akter, 14, daughter of Humayun Kabir of Agsavar village under Baraid union of Saturia upazila in the district. She was a student of class nine of Abdur Rahman High School at Saturia upazila.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the hanging body of Priti from her room around 10 am, said Md Matiar Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Saturia Police Station.
The body was sent to Manikganj 250-bed hospital for autopsy.
