Unidentified assailants have murdered a school student by stabbing him repeatedly with sharp weapons at Chandpur village under Mohanpur upazila of the district.
The victim has been identified as Moktar Ali(16) son of Joynal Ali of Chandpur village. He was a student of class ten of local Basantakedar
High School.
Police recovered dead body of Moktar from inside a bamboo grove nearby his house on Friday morning and sent it the morgue of RMCH for autopsy.
According to sources, being informed, a police team including Additional Superintendent of Police( Sadar circle) Sumon Deb, Officer in Charge of Mohanpur thana Mostaque Ahmed and OC (Investigation) Khaledur Rahman went to the spot and recovered the dead body from the spot before sending it to morgue of RMCH.
OC Mostaque Ahmed said, investigation was going on to trace and arrest the murderers. The dead body of Moktar bears marks of stabbing on various spots of the body with sharp weapons. A murder case has been filed with Mohanpur thana in this connection.
