Expelled Jubo League Dhaka South unit President Ismail Hossain Samrat was sent back to Keraniganj central jail on Saturday after his discharge from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases.

Jailer of Dhaka Central Jail Mahbubul Islam said Samrat was discharged from the hospital in the morning and was shifted to the central jail in Keraniganj again.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the authorities of Keraniganj jail took Samrat to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after he complained of chest pain.  Then he was shifted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. A three-member medical board, headed by director the hospital Afzalur Rahman, was formed for his treatment. Rab members arrested Samrat and Arman, vice-president of Jubo League Dhaka South unit, from Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla on October 6.

A mobile court, led by Rab Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam, sentenced Samrat to six months’ simple imprisonment under the Wildlife Conservation Act after the elite force recovered two hides of kangaroo from his Kakrail office. He was then sent to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on that day.
