As part of the ongoing initiative to offer essentials at fair prices, the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has launched cash-based sales through mobile trucks in Kachua upazila, alongside other upazilas in Bagerhat district.
The sale began on Sunday at three key locations in Kachua -- Bijoy Chattar, Kachua Sadar Union, Dhopakhali Union Parishad, and Gopalpur Union Parishad.
Products will be sold daily on a first-come, first-served basis from August 10 to August 31, including to low-income consumers holding smart cards.
Kachua Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Ali Hasan officially inaugurated the cash-sale program at 11am today on the Upazila premises.
UNO Ali Hasan said each customer will be able to purchase 1 kg of sugar at Tk 80, 2 kg of lentils at Tk 70 per kg, and soybean oil at Tk 115 per liter (Tk 230 two liter). A total product bundle worth Tk 450 will be available per person, with a daily quota for 500 customers at each location.
