Considering the plight of the flood-affected people in Gopalganj, with the overall cooperation of the Department of Public Health Engineering, under the direction of Gopalganj DC Shahida Sultana safe drinking water was provided to the flood-affected people in eight unions of Faridpur’s Kashiani Upazila through modern water purification mobile water treatment plant on Tuesday.
Under the direction of Kashiani Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rathindranath Roy with the overall supervision of District Public Health Engineering Department Executive Engineer Deepak Chandra Talukder, Nazmul Hossain, Deputy Assistant Engineer, Department of Public Health Engineering distributed the items among flood-affected people in Fukra, Orakandi, Rajpat, Hatiyara, Singa, Puishur, Bethuri and Nizamkandi unions.
Executive Engineer of Gopalganj District Public Health Engineering Department Deepak Chandra Talukder told the media, “The respective Upazila Public Health Engineers are directly engaged in the field work to supervise this service work.
As long as the situation does not return to normal, his department will continue to distribute safe drinking water and purification tablets to flood victims."
