Sacrificial animal market opens in Khulna following hygiene rules

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, a week-long sacrificial animal market was inaugurated at the Joragate Bazar premises in Khulna on Sunday at the initiative of Khulna City Corporation. 

KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq inaugurated the market in the morning. Animals will be bought and sold at this market till the morning of Eid. Besides, animals can also be bought and sold through  www.Kcchaat.com online platform.

During the inauguration, the city mayor said that animals should be bought and sold at the cattle market in accordance with hygiene and government guidelines to prevent coronavirus infection. Six disinfectant tunnels have been set up at the entrance of the market and the use of masks has been made mandatory. 

The mayor said elders and children would not be allowed to enter the cattle market. The city mayor instructed the market management committee to look into the matter so that there would be no disturbance in the market.

This time all the modern arrangements have been made at the cattle market including security through round-the-clock CCTV, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, identification of counterfeit notes under the management of Bangladesh Bank, recovery through computerized collection. A round-the-clock veterinary treatment and 24-hour security has been provided by the magistrate, police and RAB.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of Metropolitan AL unit MDA Babul Rana, Commissioner of Police Khandaker Lutful Kabir, Additional Commissioner of Police Sardar Rakibul Islam, Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah, administration officials and other officials of KCC were present.
