Some elements are deliberately perpetrating acts of sabotage targeting the trains and railway tracks at different places of the country during the blockades and shutdowns enforced by BNP when the nation is going to the next general election slated for January 7.
Different vested interest groups, anti-liberation and communal forces and killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman led by BNP leaders know that they have no chance in the elections. That is why, they are hatching conspiracies and now, they busy carrying out sabotage acts and anarchies. Seven carriages of a Dhaka-bound Mohanganj Express train derailed at Bankharia in Gazipur on Wednesday early morning after miscreants cut off of the rail tracks on Dhaka-Mymensingh railway. At least one passenger was killed and at least 11 other were injured.
We express deep concern about the frequent sabotage acts like cutting of railway track and setting fire to train in the last 45 days. We also have witnessed terrors setting fire to trains at different places of the country.

Besides, the railway police have been kept alert to prevent violence, arson attack and sabotage in the railways as well as to ensure the security of railway passengers. It is clear that these are targeted and malicious action that took a serious turn with no end in sight. The law enforcers including intelligence agency must remain alert to thwart the vested elements any plot. The evil forces became desperate to make the country’s next poll questionable and controversial in many ways. So, the law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies must assist the railway officials and employees to ensure the railway and passengers’ safety amid hartals and blockades.
