S Alam Group donates equipment to CMCH

S Alam Group, a leading industrial company in the country has provided ICU with ventilator worth Tk 3 crore and high flow oxygen for the treatment of corona virus (Covid-19) patients in three hospitals in Chattogram. The medical equipment was handed over to the authorities of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMC), Chittagong General Hospital and Chittagong Mother & Child Hospital on Tuesday morning. 

This information was given in a notifi cation from S Alam Group. Eight high flow nasal canola have been provided for three hospitals in Chattogram. The market value of each Airbus High Flow Nasal Canola made in New Zealand is Tk 15 lakh. Six ICU ventilators have been provided to treat corona virus (Covid-19) patients in three hospitals in Chittagong. The market value of each US-made Philips band ventilator is Tk 27.5 lakh.

It is learned that in response to the call of BMA Chattogram Division General Secretary Dr. Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury, these medical supplies were given through the direction of S Alam Group Chairman Saiful Alam Masud through Chairman PS Akij Uddin. He said there were insufficient ICU beds, ventilators and high flow nasal canola for medical services at various hospitals in Chattogram.

S Alam Group Chairman Saiful Alam Masud provided 4 ventilators, 4 high flow nasal canola for Chittagong Medical College Hospital, 2 high flow nasal canola for Chittagong General Hospital, 2 ventilators for Chittagong Mother and Child Hospital and 2 high flow nasal canola on Tuesday.

Earlier, 500 PPE for the safety of doctors at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, 2 AC for doctors 'duty room, 2 sample collection booths, Tk 1 lakh for entertaining doctors in quarantine at Chittagong General Hospital, 1 AC, 2 sample collection booths, 1 for BITID doctors' duty room AC, 2 sample collection booths and S Alam Group has given 700 PPE of 50 PPE each in 14 Upazila Health Complexes of Chattogram.
