‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds is playing it very cool over theories he'll enter the MCU in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.

Marvel fans have been working overtime to figure out whether the Merc with a Mouth is hidden in plain sight in the latest Easter-egg filled poster for the second ‘Doctor Strange’ film.

Reynolds seems to be aware of the rumours too which makes his reaction to questions from Variety about the fan theory quite intriguing.

"I guess I'm really not supposed to say anything about that," Reynolds says at first.

‘The Deadpool’ actor knows the secretive nature of Marvel Studios, so he immediately reels it back in by telling the reporter: "I'm really not in the movie."

When it is pointed out that he could be lying about this denial, Reynolds concedes: "I could be an unreliable narrator. But, I promise you I'm not in the movie."

We'll let you be the judge on whether or not you believe Reynolds. The evidence is certainly mounting that, with or without ‘Deadpool’, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ will bend the walls of Marvel's movie universes.

A vocal cameo in the film's Super Bowl promo has pointed to Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the MCU's next movie.

Stewart's (and James McAvoy's) versions of Professor X have thus far existed separately in the X-Men films produced by Fox. Now that Disney owns Fox, it's been simply a matter of time before X-characters crossed over.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently confirmed Reynolds is "working very hard" on a script to bring Deadpool into the MCU. But will we see him first in The Multiverse of Madness?
